David Myers

Managing Principal of DMedia Associates, Inc.  He has over 18 years of broad-based functional experience in strategic planning, licensing of tangible and electronic assets, business development, and financial and operations management.  He has expertise working with executives and all other levels of management to design and implement results-focused revenue strategies required for major business transformations, including heavy international and domestic transaction-related experience that is coupled with a strong legal and finance background. 

His licensing-specific experience includes: leading global analysis and strategy for STM markets, increasing licensed content by over 1214% leading to related revenue increase of 140% or $150M over 7 years; drafting, negotiating and concluding over 500 licensing contracts in multiple revenue channels; increasing gross margins of existing licensing deals up to 50%, leveraging existing properties to diversify into new revenue streams and utilizing innovative royalty and pricing models; managing multiple companies global external relationships, including managing staff of 13 setting and communicating pricing strategy to sales staff and end-users; managing contractual relationship with 100+ distribution partners; and developing company-wide revenue generation models for biotech, pharmaceutical and internet organizations.

Mr. Myers’s career includes seven years as Executive Director, Licensing and Business Development with Wolters Kluwer Health, Medical Research Division – and predecessor organization Ovid Technologies, Inc.   He has also held positions as VP, Business Development and Finance for WeFusion.com; VP, Business Development for Marco Polo Technologies, Inc.; and Senior Associate, Whitehall, Montague & Cie. Investment Bankers.  He started his business career as Strategic Planning Analyst for Texaco, Inc.  As a result, Mr. Myers has an uncommon blend of depth in both the technical and strategic aspects of licensing and business development. 

His clients include several Societies and Associations, distributors and large consortia. 

Mr. Myers holds a J.D. from American University, a M.B.A in Finance from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Genetics/Business from the University of Maryland.

 

Wendy Myers

Wendy has over twelve years of corporate and consulting experience providing strategy, change management, communications, and human capital consulting services to management teams and organizations.  She partners with senior management in identifying, analyzing and creating solutions for issues affecting business operations and implementation across the organization.  She develops structured organizational effectiveness initiatives and conducts strategic process reviews and alignments. She has significant project management experience including the management of resources, budgets, project plans, and project deliverable quality.  Ms. Myers enjoys designing and implementing strategic programs to improve organizational performance and employee satisfaction. 

Mrs. Myers’s career includes managing private sector clients for Deloitte and Touche’s Global Employment and Individual Solutions and Arthur Andersen’s Human Capital practices, as well as serving in internal Human Resources and Organizational Development leadership positions with several technology consulting organizations.  Since 2006, Ms. Myers has been providing consulting services to federal government and non-profit clients. 

Mrs. Myers holds a J.D. and M.A. from American University and a B.A. in International Relations and German from the College of William and Mary.  Mrs. Myers is a licensed attorney in the State of Virginia.
