David Myers

David Myers, President and CEO of DMedia Associates, Inc. – is an Information Industry expert, with over 27 years experience specializing in Strategy, Sales, Licensing and Business Development. Throughout his career, he has drafted, negotiated and closed over 500 domestic and international licensing agreements with publishing partners, customers and distributors. He has also negotiated and closed countless business alliances, strategic partnering, and revenue generation deals. Prior to starting his consulting practice, he was Executive Director, Global Licensing and Business Development with Wolters Kluwer Health for 7 years. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Business Development, WeFusion, Inc., Vice President of Business Development for Marco Polo Technologies, Senior Associate, Whitehall Montague & Cie. Investment Bankers and Strategic Planning Analyst, Texaco, Inc. In these roles, David led the development of strategic plans and developed and led the effort for new product licenses, new strategic partnering and acquisition targets.

David earned a B.S. in Genetics/Business from The University of Maryland, a M.B.A. in Finance from Pepperdine University and a J.D. from American University. David is an active member of the California State Bar, a prior member of the Content Board of the Software and Information Industry Association, and of many publishing industry associations.

 

Philip Ditchfield

Philip Ditchfield, Director, DMedia Associates, Inc. – is a licensing and procurement expert with over 20 years of industry-related experience.  Philip has worked in the UK and overseas for STM publishers including Thomson Reuters, Wiley and Springer – plus one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies: GlaxoSmithKline, where he was responsible for global content procurement.  He has negotiated countless licenses across many industries (pharma, biotech, IT, etc.) and also with universities, hospitals and governments – generating £millions in new business.

From the other side of the negotiating table he has saved many more research dollars for big pharma and represented the industry in the UK Parliament.  He has been a member of numerous publisher advisory boards, industry licensing committees and has written, presented and coached on subjects relating to publishing, sales, purchasing, copyright, licensing, text mining and contract management.

Philip is also responsible for launch London Info International in 2014 – an international conference and exhibition for providers and users of scholarly, research and professional information.

In his spare time Philip is active in his local community and was featured in the Observer Magazine for Innovation for creating a solar buying group in Marlow, Buckinghamshire aimed at reducing carbon emissions. He’s also a keen sailor.


Associates

Tracey Evans

Tracey Evans, Associate – has over 20 years’ first-hand experience within the corporate information sector.  She has held senior knowledge management positions at GE Healthcare, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and GlaxoSmithKline.  She has a MSc in Information Science and specializes in information provision, end-user surveying, communications and library service transformation.  Tracey is passionate about customer service and supporting libraries – to help them provide excellent user-focused information services for their patrons.

 

Eileen Bernadette Moran

Eileen Bernadette Moran, Associate – has a deep and broad range of publishing experience in sales, business development, marketing and editorial acquisitions. She has held various senior and executive level positions with AAAS/Science, Houghton Mifflin, Pearson, Academic Press/Elsevier and CRC Press/Taylor & Francis.  During her publishing tenure she has earned numerous awards for her achievements in sales, marketing and editorial. For over twenty years she has worked in STM journal, professional, college, and international publishing.  She has a wealth of experience collaborating with Information Specialists in the corporate market worldwide.
